Copy for Immediate Action to:

Mr. Josep Borrell, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, EU
Chief Justice of India at the Supreme Court of India
Chief Justice at Delhi High Court, New Delhi, India
Chief Justice at the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh, India
Chief Justice at the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court, Srinagar, India
And other international agencies working in the fields of human rights, democratic rights, and religious freedom rights of citizens in all parts of the world.
Subject: Petition to seek intervention of the international agencies such as OHCHR, USCIRF, and others to protect the human rights and right to freedom of religion and get the political prisoners belonging to the minority communities released from jails as they are being arbitrarily incarcerated by the Indian regime.
Although there are a slew of political prisoners languishing in Indian jail, this petition is being filed to secure the release of Amritpal Singh (Sikh religion), Umar Khalid (Muslim religion), and Sheikh Abdul Rashid also known as Engineer Rashid (Muslim religion).
It is important to note that Amritpal Singh and Engineer Rashid have also won the recent 2024 Lok Sabha election to become members of parliament (MPs) while still in jail. But the autocratic Indian regime is not allowing them to attend the parliament sessions, depriving them of their democratic rights.
